McKay/Weir Central is a place to discuss the show, the relationship and to share the goodness of related graphics, vid listings and more.
Registration is easy - the link to do so can be found just on the right in the login area's box. All you need is a working email to be able to join in the fun. Sadly, due to spammers signing up, registration now requires approval by an admin. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this change.

First off, congrats to everloyal (SGAkawoosh here) for winning Challenge 2 with the poem "Reflections".
We now have another writing challenge, with prompts, pick any caption contest banner for inspiration! Deadline is in three weeks time, Monday 18th August at 7pm GMT.
There's also new banners up, see here, and voting for the 2nd icontest until Monday August 4th 6PM GMT. |

Voting is now open for Batch 3 of the Season 2 banners until 10pm GMT Thursday 24th July - see here.
Also a reminder that you have roughly 24 hours to submit to challenge 2, our first writing challenge and just over a week to enter challenge 3, our second icontest. |

| New Challenge + Challenge 2 extension |
Challenge 2: poetry/lyrics has been extended so you have a further week for submissions, until Thursday 17th July, as we've currently not got enough entries.
Also, we have Challenge 3 up now, another icontest - this time for "Hide & Seek" and "38 Minutes". Deadline for submissions is Thursday 24th July. |

Over on LJ, at the mwexplosion community, we've now finally got the writing event going on, with signups starting. For anyone who's not a writer, we're also in need of artists/vidders etc to create accompanying items for the fic.

| Season 2 banners, batch 3 - submissions |
You have two weeks from now (until July 15th, 10PM GMT) to submit captions new batch of banners - full rules and the banners can be found here.
Unlike previous submission stages, we will no longer be taking submissions by email or PM etc. To submit captions please reply to the submission entry that is linked above on mwexplosion community. Non-LJ users should be able to post and all comments are screened but if you have any problems please contact me.

| MWexplosion - Interested? |
There has been talk of a NaNoWriMo-style event for writing McKay/Weir novels or novellas and we'd like to gage interest in it with a poll. To cover the time periods several people have already indicated would work we've devised a rounds system, where people can take part in it in whichever round they like and even do more than one as long as they finish their first round project.
The polls can be found to left hand side of the index page but only allows for one reply. For those who think they'd like to take part in more please see the ticky-box LJ poll on the matter - here.
NB: Replying to either poll is only indicative of interest, you will be under no obligation to take part - this is not a call for signups. |
